THE POSITION
Project Coordinator (Project Based)
Iron Maple has offices in Dartmouth, NS, and Sussex, NB, and currently requires a Project Coordinator to join our Nova Scotia team, work on site, and support one of our projects in the New Glasgow area. The ideal candidate will reside in the greater New Glasgow area.
Responsibilities:
· Assist the project manager and superintendent with overall project performance including cost, schedule, safety, quality and field technical issues
· In conjunction with the superintendent and project manager, assist in the mobilization of our own and subcontractor’s people resources
· Expedite all materials and equipment delivered from suppliers and subcontractors to meet or improve on the project schedule
· Secure any additional information required from the consultants and the project owner to complete the project
· Work with the superintendent and subcontractors to correct any deficiencies identified
· Assist with pre-commissioning or commissioning
· Assist with overall project closeout, including archiving documents, maintenance, and warranty
Qualifications:
· Be committed to delivering projects safely while being a champion of the company’s safety policies and procedures
· 1–2 years of construction industry experience
· The ability to develop and build strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, clients, and internal team members
· A positive attitude, and a strong communicator who works well with other team members
· A strong drive for results with an eye for detail
· The ability to travel as required for the project
· Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related field
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology
